Blizzards
03:45
|
|
||
Do not let the demons inside,
Do not let them near,
All you have worked for, all you have achieved,
Do not indulge them do not give them leave to steal away,
Your only means of defense.
There are blizzards hitting home,
And bombs destroying all ….
How can I protect, that which means the world to me?
We wait for grief to hit us hard,
And when it finally does we say,
How unexpected, how unprecedented, how totally out of the blue,
But somewhere in the core of us we saw this coming
And we have been preparing even though we didn’t know it, our whole lives for this
There are blizzards hitting home,
And bombs destroying all ….
How can I protect, that which means the world to me?
The realisation’s gonna hit you, on a most unfamiliar day
But you don’t have to fight this alone,
For you’ve allies, that fight away from home…
There are blizzards hitting home,
And bombs destroying all ….
How can I protect, that which means the world to me?

A Grave One
04:25
|
|
||
I know it is easier to have it your own way,
I know it is sacrifice to open up to what this really means.
Everyday the will grows stronger,
To tell you, you are making a mistake
…A grave one
We talk about honesty, openness and truth,
But I don’t feel safe enough to talk.
Everyday the will grows stronger,
To tell you, you are making a mistake
…A grave one
Why am I so scared, to stand up tall and tell you all?
Why am I so scared to open wide and show you what’s inside?
What do you do when everywhere closes down
as soon as you open your mind?
Everyday the will grows stronger,
To tell you, you are making a mistake
…A grave one

Music Box
03:59
|
|
||
Should I be speaking in a whisper?
For all this yelling is growing old..
I am talking to you but you’re not listening
Should I silence my tongue, close off my lungs and save my breath?
Maybe in years to come you’ll start listening
And you’ll say, and you’ll say and you’ll say
Where is that sound that I am missing?
If your world grows quiet and still,
Just wind me up like and old music box,
And I will play that old familiar tune
If your world crumbles down,
I will be around to fix it up,
Just the way it was, if that’s the way you want it.
For I may as well not be here, I may as well not be around,
I have better things to do than waste my words on you,
And maybe in years to come you’ll start listening
And you’ll say, and you’ll say,
where is that sound that I am missing?
If your world grows quiet and still,
Just wind me up like and old music box,
And I will play that old familiar tune
If your world crumbles down,
I will be around to fix it up,
Just the way it was, if that’s the way you want it.

Polaris
04:09
|
|
||
We used our aided sight, to stare into ancient lights and there,
We found such splendours,
But not one enchanted me, no,
Not one could captivate and hold my gaze as you can.
Polaris, constant and true,
To my everything, that turns about you,
Settle my gaze, on the glimmering face,
And let it shatter all the doubts (in my mind)
Only in your light can I gather my bearings,
Only in your embrace can I ever feel, in the night, I am safe and sound
Polaris, constant and true,
To my everything, that turns about you,
Settle my gaze, on the glimmering face,
And let it shatter all the doubts (in my mind)

Greenhouses
05:21
|
|
||
I’m not sure I trust those who live in greenhouses,
With a thick wall of glass between them and the weather
So afraid of not knowing that they know nothing at all,
So afraid of not falling that they can’t use their limbs anymore.
Time will tarnish all,
But its wearing us down, its wearing us down into so much more
To fear the unknown is exhausting, so turn around and stare it down,
Stare it down.
I grow tired of people with credentials,
I grow tired of people with so called potential to go far
Knowing where it is they are going, oh how dull that must be.
Time will tarnish all,
But its wearing us down, its wearing us down into so much more
To fear the unknown is exhausting, so turn around and stare it down,
Stare it down.
No matter what changes you and I go through,
No matter the phases that pass,
As long as we love in each other the desire to grow, we’ll be more than fine
I love the way you make things more than what it is that you make
I love the way you give out so much but darlin’ wont you take what I have to offer you in return?
Ashes to ashes, Dust to dust
We must return, this we’ve known all alone
But do not worry with the time you’ve been given,
Do not worry it all away.
Living is like walking,
trusting your feet will meet the ground with every step they take.
Time, it will tarnish all,
But its wearing us down, its wearing us down into so much more
To fear the unknown is exhausting, so turn around and stare it down,
Stare it down.

Tremors
05:21
|
|
||
Careful hours and fitful nights,
She spends upstairs until her weave is tight
With the time she gives to repairing all those ancient tears,
The ones that threaten to gape…
You, you are her snag, you are her snag,
And you will undo her in no time at all.
What can I say to stop you wearing her away?
You can build the city taller than it ever was before,
But this land is known for tremors and its only a matter of time,
But I’ll be there, to help with the repairs…
You, you are her snag, you are her snag,
And you will undo her in no time at all.
What can I say to stop you wearing her away?
I am used to towers falling, the same ones always do,
But recently, the fortresses that I thought invincible are growing weak,
And it’s showing, and it won’t be long until they see.
But I won’t let them anywhere near,
No I won’t let them past the mote,
For these walls are a part of me,
and I of them and it is we who have command.
You, you are her snag, you are her snag,
And you will undo her in no time at all.
What can I say to stop you wearing her away?

Physical Phrases
05:32
|
|
||
The things we fold into embraces,
Hoping that the other understands,
This physical phrase.
Some things can not be said,
Sometimes words of wisdom, they fail us
And we long to fix the breakages and patch the rifts.
But some things, they are not meant for mending,
they are not meant for mending, no…
So let it be, let it be what it wants to be,
Let it ache and let it take what it needs to take.
Go down to the river and tell it all your secrets,
The willow tree will listen to your fears,
And the thicket will not judge for your tears.
So give yourself over to the wild
And its lending ears, I assure you that it hears
So let it be, let it be what it wants to be,
Let it ache and let it take what it needs to take.
You tell me that the paint is peeling and you need a damp course,
Well I’ll call the man in soon,
But to me it looks like you have done a pretty splendid job
of concealing the decay you are feeling day to day…
So use me, oh use me in any way you need,
Use me or I’m useless, Use me or I’m useless
So let it be, let it be what it wants to be,
Let it ache and let it take what it needs to take.
But no more, no more than that.

Inside Out
03:50
|
|
||
A new window of mine looking out into an old one,
And I forget what it was you sold me.
Things were said, and things taken back,
And stored away for other years, more appropriate ears,
I am living on a new street,
There is nothing you could say to move me.
But I recall a time, when any sound at all uttered from those lips,
Had me uncoiled and ready for use, ready for abuse
You would take what you could,
And you thought it was so understood.
But oh, how you missed out.
I am living on a new street,
There is nothing you could say to move me.
I am here, and I am safe now,
And I am learning the meaning of care.
Slowly, slowly we let them in,
We let them see how it is from the inside, the inside, the inside out.
I am living on a new street,
There is nothing you could say to move me

There Was Always Room
03:45
|
|
||
Our skin is thin,
And it bruises easily.
It will not grow thicker,
It only expands upon demands.
You need not fear,
I have room for you, there is always room for you.
There’s a fine line between belief and disbelief,
I wrote it down and I wrote it twice,
Then I read it over and I read thrice,
And I said it aloud oh I said it loud and clear.
When faced with the reality of something inconceivable
The things that were believable become subject to suspicion,
And I know it is hard to adjust,
I know it is hard to adjust.
You need not fear,
I have time for you, there is always time for you.
And yes we all have scars, they may be visible at times,
But they are the evidence of change, are the evidence of growth,
And they may sting, they may bring back memories,
Let me cover up your open wounds, when they may appear,
It is up to those who care for you and those who hold you dear to say..
You need not fear, I have room for you there is always room for you
You need not fear, I have time for you there is always time for you

Fractal Sky
04:33
|
|
||
You took a while to reveal yourself
And even now the depths are mysterious
We glimpse you in the things you love,
Starlight and sunlight in the mist
Lighting in the clouds at sunset
Where even, where even nature surprises herself
Sights between and beyond the normal
The sun that rises while you sleep is always new
Oooooooo, Oooooooo
The love that moves the stars is in you like music
Under a Fractal sky
Under a Fractal sky
Under a Fractal sky (the love that moves the stars is in you)
Under a Fractal sky
Under a Fractal sky
Under a Fractal sky

This Dark Night
02:22
|
|
||
This dark night, the planet turns the ones I love away from me.
This dark night, the planet turns the ones I love away from me.
And how my arms are stretched trying to encompass them..
This dark night, the planet turns the ones I love away from me.
